A Week Behind-the-Style : Ivy Walls, Rust Peonies & Rose-Related Turmoil
By STYLEDas
If you've ever wondered what it's like running a design brand that's equal parts styling studio, prop cupboard, emotional support Pinterest board, and online boutique, this week was the full experience. There was elegance. There was ivy. There were boxes. And there was a-lot of coffee.
Here’s the STYLEDas roundup, slightly unhinged, always intentional.
Sheldon’s Home Office: Paint, Plaid, and Ivy Dreams
The Home Office is almost complete. And it is officially GIVING! Think :
- A moody green paint that feels like a deep exhale and a quiet power move
- Tartan wallpaper that's one bookshelf away from full on "British intellectual with good wine and better opinions" energy.
- The built-in of absolute dreams and don't get me started on bookshelf styling day - I cannot wait for that vlog
- And outside, the wall is painted and the first leaves of the Boston Ivy are creeping up, because every good workspace deserves a dramatic seasonal transformation to look out on
He wanted focus and calm.
He's serving handsome with attitude, luxe with backstory. We sit here eagerly awaiting the grand reveal!
Meanwhile, I’m in My Climbing Rose Crisis Era
We love a red brick moment, am I right? We love a black front door to pair with it.
But now comes the real question: what climbing roses are worthy of this Victorian façade?
The shortlist:
- Blush pink, soft, timeless, emotionally detached
- Ivory, crisp, refined, possibly judges you
- Apricot-toned drama, not loud, but unforgettable
Stay tuned. I may post a poll. Or host a rose-focused summit. TBC.
In the Midst of All This… A Huge Delivery of Rust Peonies Landed
And by "huge" we mean, ABSOLUTE CHAOS.
But the beloved rust peonies arrived, and they are every bit the soft, stormy, burnt-sunset drama we needed.
We styled them. We stared at them. We restyled them. We stared at them again. Obsessed!
And now… Thanks to a styling vid with @TheMcCraeHome they’re almost gone... AGAIN!
The Dolly Edit: She Came, She Styled, She Sold Out
Our Dolly Edit officially sold out this week, and we are still not okay.
It was nostalgic, romantic, and unapologetically extra — just how we like it.
And now she’s off to live her best shelf life in your homes. We love that for her (and you).
Next Collection Energy : Autumn is Calling (and She's Texting in Rust Tones)
Yes, we're still in early summer... But behind the scenes? We're already in soft autumn prep mode - Where everything feels like texture, old books and the colour of over-brewed tea in the best way.
We've started:
- Sourcing styling pieces that whisper "cosy" but will slay
- Building mood boards with rust, fig, dark florals, and a few well-read candlelit corners
- Styling bundles that feel like the main character in a rainy-day novel
It's less pumpkin spice, more elevated stormy Sunday, with textures that beg to be touched and colours that basically demand you redecorate your shelf.
Stay close. It's going to be our softest, boldest collection yet.
Costco Jams, OKA Schemes & A Little Hinching
In between the inbox chaos :
- We made a very serious Costco trip to restock reserves... for styling purposes (and snacking is a happy coincidence).
- We’ve started plotting our next OKA visit, which is definitely not a shopping trip (and absolutely is).
- And Mrs Hinch liked our reel. We screamed, emotionally. Then styled harder.
I think that covers it. So until next Sunday. Remember, style like everyone’s watching, shop like everything’s sold out, and remember: a well-placed peony can be a flex.
Love,
The STYLEDas
